Before lock down Chemsafety got our science on and made our own hand sanitiser. We used the WHO recipe (minus the hydrogen peroxide) which can be found here https://www.who.int/gpsc/5may/Guide_to_Local_Production.pdf
If you decide to make hand sanitiser at home you must ensure you have at least 60% alcohol and you also need to have at least 20% water (don’t use vodka). You can add aloe vera gel for a bit of moisturising and a few drops of essential oil if you want to mask the alcohol smell a bit. Try this recipe from Healthline https://www.healthline.com/health/how-to-make-hand-sanitizer
But remember washing your hands with soap and water is more effective at killing COVID 19. Only use hand sanitiser if you aren’t near hand washing facilities.
