Every couple of years the EPA reviews the classifications of hazardous substances when new information has become available. The 2019-2020 Chemical Review is now open for consultation.

If you use substances that contain the following chemicals then you will be interested in the proposed changes to the classifications.
  • 1,3-dichloropropene
  • Chlorpropham
  • Flumetsulam
  • Flumioxazin
  • MCPA and its salts
  • Metamitron
  • Monensin and monensin sodium
  • Narasin
  • Pymetrozine
  • Tea tree oil
  • Thiodicarb
  • Trinexapac-ethyl.
Many of the changes to the classifications do not result in significant changes to the controls imposed by the legislation. Consultation on the Chemical Review 2019-2020 closes 26 February 2021.
