Almi Bradfield-van Wyk

Almi is the newest addition to the Chemsafety team and is based in the Wellington office.  She has over 10 years of experience in the Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Field and describes herself as creative, innovative, ambitiously driven & focused, with limitless curiosity and enthusiasm and strives to make a difference wherever she goes. She has a great devotion to assist workplaces in protecting their employees and the environment.

Almi has moved from South Africa where she was a Senior Consultant & Occupational Hygienist. This was a managerial position as a Registered Occupational Hygienist, to ensure compliance of reports with SANAS requirements, adherence to sampling methods and procedures, training of new consultants and project management of high-profile projects.

• Over 10 years of experience in the Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Field.
• During 2020 and the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, she attended webinars to gain insight into understanding the disease, the prevention of infection, as well as measures and procedures required at the workplace, and the role of Occupational Hygiene in assisting the workforce to return to work safely. Through which she was able to assist clients with their return to work protocols and keeping their employees healthy, even during a global pandemic.  She achieved her registration as an Occupational Hygienist during this period.
• In 2019, she created a new service stream ; fallout dust surveys based on ASTM D1739: 2017, Standard Test Method for Collecting and Measurement of Dust Fall (Settle able Particulate Matter). She went on to train consultants to become competent to perform the surveys, and to review and inspect Fallout Dust reports compiled by other consultants.
