Training Chemical Awareness Thumb2

Chemical Awareness

Under the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017, the training requirements are in place for all people working with hazardous substances. This is more stringent than the previous regulations.

Training is required for every person who stores, handles, manufacturers or uses hazardous substances, including hazardous waste.

Chemsafety’s Chemical Awareness course is held at your site for staff handling hazardous substances and covers the training requirements of the new Regulations. The course is tailored to be specific to your site, the substances and processes you use, and includes practical exercises for your staff to complete on site with the trainer.

Why you need it?

    • Chemsafety offers training that covers the substances that you use and address the specific requirements of your substances.
    • Chemsafety’s has been providing hazardous substance training since 2006.
    • Chemsafety’s open courses include attendees from a variety of industries – users of similar substances are grouped together.
    • Chemsafety’s presenters are chemistry graduates with many years of experience assessing chemical storage and handling across a broad range of New Zealand workplaces.
