How can fumes, gases, and vapours be harmful?

Some workers face several airborne hazards during their working day. These can include solvents fumes, vapours and gases. Exposure to fumes, gases and vapours at hazardous levels can harm the short term and long-term health of people.
Exposure monitoring is done to determine the concentrations of and vapours and gases in the workplace air help determine the best way to minimise the exposure, whether through different work practices, substitutions, or engineering controls. Finally, we will recommend what PPE is most suitable to use, educate on how to use that PPE and its maintenance.
